CALL TO ARTISTS

     Alliance for the Arts announces a Call to Artists to celebrate Southwest Florida      Symphony’s 50th Anniversary by creating a piece of art that frames the past and inspires
     the future through music. Cash prizes, courtesy of the Southwest Florida Symphony, will      be awarded to three artists, Best in Show $750 and two Jurors Choice awards of $500.
     Award winning artwork will be featured on the front of the 50th Anniversary concert season      program and published on the cover of a commemorative historical publication.

     The Opening Reception will be March 5th at the Alliance for the Arts from 5pm until 8pm. This
     event is open to the public. If you would like more information, contact the Symphony office at      239.418.0996.

WANT TO BE PART OF THE ORCHESTRA

     You don't have to be a musician to be a part of the Symphony. We have many opportunities      available from volunteering, to ushering, to housing musicians, to office aids. Internship      opportunities are also available for those looking to further their career in arts management,      marketing or orchestral leadership.


  SWING WITH THE SYMPHONY

     Springtime is a great time to get together, shoot a round of golf and enjoy a Sunday brunch.
     The Southwest Florida Symphony wants you to join them in their annual spring fundraiser at the      Plantation Golf and Country Club, March 7. Registration for 18 holes of golf begins at 8am.

     Not a golfer? Don't worry...come out and enjoy the wonderful view, check out the silent auction and
     get  the best seat in the house to bid on your favorite live auction items. Reception will begin at      12:30pm with brunch being served at 1:30pm.

     Everyone will be treated to the Plantation's delectable brunch as well as entertainment provided by
     the Southwest Florida Symphony. Mark your calendars and come
     Swing with the Symphony (201MB).
